I am one who has always dealt with tooth issues. As a child I had so many cavities. So because of that, I put a lot of effort into taking care of my teeth. Eating a healing diet for gut health is one big part of taking care of my teeth (click here for more information on that). In addition to that I chose to use non toxic oral care products. This combination has been working pretty well for me. I think having only 2 cavities over the last 15 years compared to having multiple cavities every year is a sign of improvement. So here’s my daily oral hygiene routine.

Step 1: Rinse for 60 seconds with the BR Rinse
Step 2: Tongue Scrape with Dr. Tung’s tongue cleaner (I only do this once in the morning)
Step 3: Brush with BR toothpaste
Step 4: Floss with Dr. Tung’s natural, non-toxic floss
Step 5: Rinse with sea salt & water (I just take a glass jar of purified water and mix salt so the water is slightly salty to taste)

TEETH WHITENING:
To whiten my teeth I sometimes add a bit of baking soda to my toothpaste and brush as normal. I don’t do this often as many of times the root cause of yellow teeth comes from an unhealthy gut. Click here to read more on that.

CELERY JUICE ORAL THERAPY:
Instead of oil pulling, I use plain celery juice. It’s much more healing and beneficial as it can help strengthen teeth and help heal receding gums and cavities. I just swish it around in my mouth a couple of times for a few seconds before swallowing. I do this every morning when I drink my celery juice. You can learn all about the celery juice oral therapies in the Celery Juice book. Also click here to read how celery juice helps with teeth, gum and mouth problems.

NEEDING SOMETHING A LITTLE STRONGER:
Sometimes I like to use Living Libations products for an extra boost in healing. This brand uses a combination of essential oils in their products for a holistic approach to oral care.

So when I’m looking for something a little more healing:
I use the Neem Enamalizer for my toothpaste and I add a drop of Yogi Tooth Serum to my floss before flossing. Both of these contain the essential oil neem which has anti-bacterial properties. It can also enhance the immune response in our oral health.

Lastly, I like to use a sulcabrush and run it along my gums with a drop of Happy Gum Drops gel after brushing. This extra step helps to remove any remaining plague along the gum line.
